ISO 9001 is being revised - our timeline

ISO 9001 is being revised. We outline below our timeline for moving to the new standard.

The revision of ISO 9001 is underway (standards are usually revised every 6 years or so). Our clients who already hold certification to ISO 9001:2008 will have 3 years in which to upgrade to the new standard.

As such, if you already hold certification or if you are in the process of gaining certification to ISO 9001:2008, you can be confident that for now, you are being assessed to the latest and most current standard.

June 2015: FDIS (Final Draft International Stage) 9001:2015 will be published and so the implementation and training can begin for all our assessors and clients.
Shortly after publication: we will be writing to all clients to explain the major changes coming with the new standard.

From July/August 2015: we will commence gap analysis at each of our client’s premises against the new standard, leaving them their individual reports for their consideration.

Near the end of 2015: the new standard ISO 9001:2015 is expected to be published

NB: We will be upgrading clients as part of your usual assessment schedule with no extra charges.

Please see the ISO website for more detail on the standard and its revision
